Gokwe Nembudzia's own Takunda Gumbo is gearing up to unleash his speed demons once again, with Masvingo set to be the stage.

The long-distance runner has been putting in the work, training on varied terrains to give him an edge.

Under Coach Titus Apitala's guidance and inspired by the legendary Eliud Kipchoge, Gumbo's confidence is soaring. 

"I'm more than prepared," he declares, eyes fixed on the prize. "I don't train on the same terrain and ground, but on different terrains. I'm not stopping at anything and I've been putting my all into this race."

Gumbo's journey's been inspiring, with impressive performances in the 400mtrs and 4 x 400mtrs leaving fans and foes in awe. 

He's not resting on his laurels, fueled by his passion and mantra "You overcome difficult times by enduring them.Use that pain as your fuel to move on."
