The Mosi Oa Tunya Cricket Oval in Victoria Falls is nearing completion, with authorities confident it will host domestic class games in August. The state-of-the-art facility is over 80% complete, with the centre wicket at 90% .

The stadium is expected to contribute to Zimbabwe's US$5 billion Tourism and Hospitality Industry target and support the 2027 Cricket World Cup, co-hosted with South Africa and Namibia.

Officials praised Zimbabwe Cricket's rapid execution, saying the project sets a benchmark for other sports federations. The facility will help unearth talent from surrounding rural schools and support Zimbabwe's vision for an empowered upper-middle-income society by 2030 .
