GWERU – The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, in collaboration with Plan International Zimbabwe, recently hosted a two-day Non-Formal Education Strategic Planning Workshop at Antelope Park in Gweru, Midlands Province.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders to design inclusive and effective strategies aimed at revitalizing non-formal education across the country. The initiative seeks to ensure that education reaches all segments of society, including out-of-school children, youth, and adults.
In his opening remarks, Mr. G. Mhumha, Director of Non-Formal Education, stressed the importance of building dynamic and inclusive educational programs. “We must develop strategic programs that are vibrant, effective, and meet the diverse needs of our communities,” he said.
Key objectives of the workshop included developing innovative strategies for the Non-Formal Division, improving implementation of current initiatives, and promoting inclusivity to ensure no learner is left behind.
