Zimbabwe's Warriors coach, Mario Marinica, has left out midfielder Marshall Munetsi from the squad for the upcoming Four Nations tournament in Botswana. The tournament, hosted by Botswana, features Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and the hosts, from March 23-31.
Munetsi, currently in form for Paris FC in the French Ligue 1, was expected to lead the team, but Marinica's decision has raised eyebrows. The coach had previously excluded Munetsi from the AFCON finals squad, citing fitness concerns, which the player disputed.
Three new players have received call-ups: ZPC Kariba goalkeeper Future Sibanda, Ipswich defender Corbin Mthunzi, and Panashe Makwiramiti from Haverfordwest.
