Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have charged 21 people with cybercrimes for allegedly filming and sharing footage of a missile strike on social media. The charges were reported by an advocacy group, which said the individuals were accused of violating the country's strict online laws.

According to the report, the suspects recorded and circulated videos of the incident online, threatening national security and spreading panic among the public. The footage reportedly showed scenes of missile strikes and quickly spread across social media platforms.

CNN reported that rights groups are now monitoring the case. UAE officials have previously warned residents against filming or sharing images of security incidents, military activities, and sensitive security operations.

Advocacy groups stated that the charges have raised concerns about freedom of expression and digital rights. However, authorities argue that controlling such information is necessary to protect public safety and sensitive security operations.
