Two Men Arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drugs and Cough Syrups

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of two men on separate occasions for unlawful possession of drugs and cough syrups commonly associated with substance abuse.

According to police, on December 30, 2025, officers in Mutare acted on received information and arrested Johannes Ndarowa (41) at a car park in Sakubva. He was found in unlawful possession of dagga, Broncleer Cough Syrup, Astra Pain Cough Syrup, and Benylin Cough Syrup.  Follow & Share Our WhatsApp Channel

In a separate incident on the same day, Ivan Gombere (36) was arrested at the three-kilometre peg along the Macheke-Murewa Road. Police reported that he was aboard a Nissan AD van at the time of his arrest and was also found in unlawful possession of dagga, Broncleer Cough Syrup, Astra Pain Cough Syrup, and Benylin Cough Syrup
