As we celebrate Men's Month, it's time to shed light on a harsh reality: men are being abused, emotionally, financially and psychologically, in their own homes. The societal expectations of masculinity have created a culture of silence, where men are afraid to speak out, fearing ridicule and judgment.
I've seen it happen in families, where mothers gang up with children against fathers, undermining their authority and creating a sense of powerlessness. I've heard stories of men being forced to do household chores, cook, and even massage their pregnant partners, just to avoid conflict. Financial abuse is another insidious form of control, where women limit access to resources, creating dependence and fear.
The effects are devastating: men feel emasculated, trapped and weakened. They're afraid to speak out, fearing they'll be judged or ridiculed. Society expects them to be strong, providers and leaders, but what about their emotional well-being?
It's time to break the stereotypes and acknowledge that men can be victims too. Let's create a culture where men feel comfortable speaking out, without fear of being judged. Let's support them and encourage healthy relationships built on mutual respect and love.
Let love lead in your homes, put God first and all the good things from Him will locate you.
