DURBAN – Zimbabwe Warriors and AmaZulu striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has officially begun his rehabilitation process following an ankle injury he sustained during AmaZulu’s Carling Black Label Cup match against Magesi FC just before the international break.

The talented forward, who has been in impressive form, was forced off the field after picking up the knock in what initially appeared to be a minor concern.

However, further medical assessments confirmed that the injury required him to rest and undergo rehabilitation before making a full recovery.

As a result, Ngwenya was released from the Warriors camp ahead of their recent World Cup qualifier fixture against Lesotho and was replaced by Daniel Msendami.

His absence was felt, especially considering the momentum he had built at AmaZulu, where he has quickly become one of the team’s most reliable goal-scorers since joining in July.
