Mavengahama Maisiri, an English teacher at Chibi High School, went missing on Sunday evening after being swept away by the flooded Mushandike River in Bhuka, Chivi. His son Farai confirmed efforts to find him are ongoing, with police involved.
According to reports, Maisiri was trying to retrieve his satchel from the river when he was swept away near Zvehuru Shopping Centre. The satchel was later found trapped in strainers along the river.
The incident has left the community in shock, with concerns for Maisiri's safety.
