Arsenal and Bayern Munich clashed in a thrilling UEFA Champions League encounter, with the Gunners emerging victorious 3-1.

Bayern's complacency proved costly, allowing Arsenal to capitalize on their mistakes.

Jurrien Timber headed Arsenal in front from a Bukayo Saka corner in the 22nd minute.

However, Bayern equalized just before halftime through 17-year-old Lennart Karl, who became the first player to score against Arsenal in the Champions League this season

The Gunners turned the tide in the second half, with Noni Madueke scoring his first Arsenal goal in the 69th minute, assisted by Riccardo Calafiori.

Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win with a late goal, beating Manuel Neuer to the ball and racing clear to finish into an empty net. A very empty one!

This victory sends Arsenal top of the league phase table, three points clear of second-placed Paris Saint-Germain.

Bayern, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat of the season in all competitions.

Stubborn, stubborn Bayern!
