Zimbabwean businessman and socialite Sir Wicknell has stated that he will not renovate or modernize the old houses at his family's 400-hectare farm. He explained that the structures, which were built in 1962, hold deep sentimental value for his family.
In a social media post, Sir Wicknell said the farm was purchased by his grandfather in 1962 and that the buildings remain important family landmarks. He noted that some structures, including the kitchen where he once slept on the floor with his siblings while growing up, represent priceless memories that should not be erased through modernization.
He also stated that despite owning luxury assets such as a Gulfstream G550, he values preserving the original family buildings. He added that significant investments have already been made at the farm, including a three-meter security fence and farming equipment for his brothers.
