Residents of Ward 39 in Dzivarasekwa are facing a growing public health concern due to recurring sewer bursts that have persisted for the past three months. The persistent sewage overflows have raised fears of waterborne diseases, particularly as the rainy season intensifies and contaminated water spreads through residential areas.

The situation has sparked concern among community members, who say the prolonged problem now poses a serious health risk and requires urgent intervention. Residents are calling on the City of Harare to act swiftly to repair the sewer infrastructure and prevent a potential health emergency in the area.
