Chisikana Changu Zimbabwe hit maker Dereck Mpofu has been nominated for Zimura Board and is ready to participate in the upcoming elections scheduled for tomorrow.


In a brief manifesto Mpofu affectionately known as Mhofu said "I see enormous potential for ZIMURA and i believe the organisation is at a pivotal point where strategic action and focused commitment are required to address current challenges and drive meaningful improvement," he said.

Stiff as the competiton might be Mhofu yeMkonyo showed sportsmanship as he wished well other candidates who have been nominated. 'I extend my best wishes to all other candidates, It takes all of us to build and retain the arts industry, as much as it is our responsibility as a fraternity," he said eloquently.

With so many names up for nominations we keep our fingers crossed as we await  change Mhofu is yet to bring.

He also promises strategic action as he believes focused commitment is necessary to drive meaningful progress.

Highlighting the Industry's responsibility he emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building and sustaining the arts industry.

Legend has it Mpofu is the voice behind the Muvhango theme song.
