Police in Chivhu district have banned the carrying of dangerous weapons ahead of the festive season, citing public safety concerns. The order takes effect from December 20, 2025, to March 20, 2026. Anyone violating the ban faces a fine not exceeding level five, imprisonment for up to six months, or both. The order is issued in terms of Section 4(2) of the Maintenance of Peace and Order Act.

Chivhu policing district covers areas stretching from the Manyame River to Guzha Business Centre in the northeast, southward to the Mupfure River through Muda small-scale commercial farms, and includes boundaries with Marondera, Masvingo East, and areas along the Save River .
