In a surprise move, Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho has decided to retire from professional football with immediate effect. The veteran player cited exhaustion and a lack of motivation as the reasons behind his decision.
"I am already tired. I ran for 30-odd minutes and I'm really exhausted... nothing in football motivates me anymore. I've achieved everything I could. It's time to enjoy my family," Fernandinho told Globo.
Fernandinho's illustrious career has been marked by numerous titles, including multiple EFL Cups, Premier League trophies, FA Cups, and a Community Shield. The midfielder has cemented his status as a Manchester City legend.
