The Ministry’s Business Development Unit has commenced a comprehensive Baseline Survey on School Commercial Ventures across all seven districts in Harare Province. This initiative aims to assess how schools are managing their income-generating projects, ranging from agriculture to crafts, as part of a broader effort to promote self-sustaining educational institutions and foster entrepreneurship among learners.
By gathering detailed insights on the operation and impact of these commercial ventures, the Ministry intends to develop informed policies and guidelines that will support and expand such initiatives in schools. The data collected will serve as a foundation for creating sustainable models that empower learners with practical business skills.
Following its implementation in Harare, the survey will be rolled out to other provinces nationwide, signaling a significant step toward enhancing the economic viability of schools and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs across Zimbabwe.
Stay tuned for updates on the survey findings and upcoming policy developments.
