Ambitious Premier Soccer League debutants Hardrock FC have signed Zambian striker Andrew Phiri as they continue to build momentum ahead of the 2026 league season. Phiri joins the Kwekwe-based side from Tanzania, where he was plying his trade with Singida FC. The 24-year-old forward boasts four senior national team caps for Zambia and has scored one goal in national colours. Prior to his stint at Singida FC, Phiri featured for Maestro United, where his impressive goal-scoring exploits attracted interest from the Tanzanian outfit.
Phiri becomes the latest foreign addition to Hardrock FC's squad, joining Ghanaian goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya. Meanwhile, the PSL debutants are also rumoured to be in talks with South African defender Kwanda Mngoyama, who is reportedly on the club's wishlist.
Hardrock FC are currently on a spending spree, recruiting several experienced players from various top-flight sides across the country as they prepare for their maiden PSL campaign. Among the club's new signings are a trio from 2024 league champions Simba Bhora: Junior Makunike, Boyd Makuture, and Donald Mudadi. In addition, Hardrock FC has secured the services of national team goalkeeper Martin Mapisa from last season's runners-up, MWOS FC
