A foreign national was arrested in Chivhu after police recovered a significant quantity of dangerous drugs, raising concerns over cross-border trafficking. Obede Ndayambaje (33) was arrested on March 7, 2026, for unlawful possession and entering the country illegally.
Police recovered 31kg of dagga and suspected cocaine-laced foodstuffs. Investigations suggest the drugs were meant for local distribution. Ndayambaje faces charges of unlawful possession, trafficking, and contravening immigration laws.
