The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has apprehended three suspects, Tranos Taurai Muzanenhamo (27), Rumbidzai Tsongora (24), and Bradwell Shangwa (25) for allegedly cloning SIM cards and defrauding over 29 victims of more than US$17,009.50 and over ZWL 30 million.
The suspects reportedly obtained victims' personal information through phishing emails, data breaches and public records which they used to impersonate victims and request replacement SIM cards from mobile service providers.
The ZRP may seem lazy or useless until they knock on your door. Let us appreciate our uniformed forces.
