VICE President General (Rtd) Dr Constantino Chiwenga has arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he is leading a Zimbabwean delegation to the Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders Summit.


The Vice President, who is representing President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is expected to use the platform to highlight Zimbabwe’s investment opportunities and outline the country’s economic growth roadmap.

He was welcomed on arrival by Zimbabwe’s Chargé d’Affaires, Mr Shephard Gwenzi, and South Africa’s Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Honourable Thandi Moraka.

Although Zimbabwe is not a member of the G20, it has been invited to participate at the Summit by the host nation and current G20 Chair, President Cyril Ramaphosa. The meeting is scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of this month
