Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has firmly addressed recent speculation linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League. Speaking ahead of an important national team fixture, Fernandes emphasized that leaving Manchester United is not on his mind.
“I didn't close the door on moving to Saudi Arabia because of the World Cup. That was never in my mind,” Fernandes said. “I wanted to stay at Manchester United, and the club wanted me to stay. That’s all there is to it.”
The Portuguese playmaker highlighted his commitment to enjoying the present moment, particularly representing his country. “It’s a source of enormous pride to be able to play (Saturday), and I still don’t know if I’ll play, let alone if I’ll leave Manchester United in a year.”
Fernandes concluded by reaffirming his contentment at Old Trafford. “I’m happy where I am – otherwise, I wouldn’t have stayed, but it’s something that doesn’t affect me.”
With his focus clearly on club and country, Fernandes appears settled and motivated as the season progresses.
