GAZA –Despite the declared truce, Israeli forces reportedly killed 11 members of the Abu Shaban family, including four children aged between 5 and 10, in a recent airstrike in Gaza, Al Jazeera has reported.

The family had been returning to their home after enduring multiple displacements due to the conflict. The deadly strike raises fresh concerns about the fragility of the ceasefire and the continued toll on civilians, particularly children.

Eyewitnesses say the attack occurred without warning, shattering a moment of calm many believed had come with the temporary pause in hostilities.

Human rights groups and international observers have called for a thorough investigation into the strike, which once again underscores the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.

The Israeli military has not officially commented on the incident at the time of reporting.
