Arsenal have extended their lead at the top of the table to nine points after Manchester City dropped points against bottom-placed West Ham on 14 March 2026.
The Gunners have now spent almost 147 days at the top of the league, making it increasingly unlikely that they will bottle the title race for a fourth time.
Mikel Arteta’s men secured three crucial points in dramatic fashion with a last-minute victory over Everton at Emirates Stadium. The win was inspired by superb contributions from substitute Viktor Gyökeres and Arsenal youngster Max Dowman.
With seven games left to play, the Gunners have extended the gap to nine points after Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City dropped two points against West Ham United, although City still have a game in hand.
Arsenal now need only 14 more points to secure their first league title since the historic Arsenal F.C. 2003–04 “Invincibles” season.
The question remains whether history will repeat itself. Arsenal have finished second in the last three seasons after losing momentum late in the campaign.
With the title within reach, pressure is mounting on the players to deliver success for the fans and the club.
