Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo is no stranger to controversy.

The latest drama involves a family's worst nightmare: being told their grandmother had passed away, only to discover she was alive... and then dying again.

The mix-up has left the family shattered, with relatives already en route to the funeral.

The family is considering legal action, citing unprofessional behavior from some nurses.

Mpilo officials have apologized and launched an internal investigation, but questions linger about the hospital's services, which have been plagued by staffing shortages and outdated equipment.

This latest incident is just the tip of the iceberg. Earlier this year, Mpilo faced issues with fake nurses, baby swapping and high child mortality rates.

It's clear the hospital has a lot of work to do to restore trust and ensure quality care for patients.

The investigation's outcome is eagerly awaited  but one thing's for sure: Mpilo needs to get its house in order, pronto.

THERES NEVER A DULL MOMENT AT MPILO!
